Setting Up Your Profile
Add your name, job title, bio, profile photo, location, and social media links to make your ResiPage profile stand out.
Why Your Profile Matters
Your profile section is the first thing a visitor sees when they open your ResiPage. A complete, well-written profile — with a professional photo, a punchy job title, and a strong bio — immediately communicates who you are and why someone should keep reading. Search engines also read this content, so a complete profile helps your page appear in name-based searches.
Editing Your Profile
In your dashboard sidebar, click Profile. You will find fields for:
- First name and Last name — displayed prominently at the top of every template.
- Job title / headline — a concise label like "Senior UX Designer" or "Full-Stack Engineer". This appears directly below your name and is one of the most visible pieces of text on your resume.
- Professional bio — a short paragraph (3–5 sentences) summarizing who you are, what you do, and what makes you valuable. Think of this as a condensed cover letter introduction.
- City and State — your location, used by recruiters filtering by geography and included in the JSON-LD schema for your public page.
- Phone number — kept private by default through contact gating; only shown to visitors you approve.
- Email address — your account email, also contact-gated on the public page.
Uploading a Profile Photo
A professional headshot significantly increases engagement with your resume. To upload one:
- On the Profile page, click the avatar placeholder or your current photo.
- Select an image from your device (JPG or PNG, at least 400×400px recommended).
- The image is uploaded securely via UploadThing and stored at a permanent URL — it will appear on your public resume immediately.
Your profile photo is displayed differently depending on the template you choose — some show it as a circle, others as a square or a large sidebar image. You can preview how each template renders it from the Theme page.
Adding Social Links
Social links appear on your public resume and let visitors quickly find you on other platforms. In the dashboard sidebar, click Social Links. Add any combination of:
- LinkedIn — the most common link for professional networking
- GitHub — essential for developers
- Dribbble or Behance — ideal for designers
- Personal website or portfolio
- Twitter / X, Instagram, YouTube, and more
Paste the full URL for each platform. ResiPage will detect the platform from the URL and display the appropriate icon alongside the link.
Saving Your Changes
Click Save at the bottom of the Profile page to persist your changes. Updates appear on your live public page immediately — no need to republish.
