Adding Experience & Education

Learn how to add, edit, and reorder your work experience and education history on your ResiPage resume.

Work Experience

Your work history is typically the most important section on a resume. ResiPage gives you a clean, structured form to enter each role and renders it consistently across all templates.

Adding a New Role

In the dashboard sidebar, click Experience, then Add Experience. Fill in:

  • Job title — e.g., "Product Manager" or "Senior Graphic Designer"
  • Company name — the organization you worked for
  • Location — city and state, or "Remote"
  • Start date — month and year
  • End date — or check the Current position checkbox if you are still in this role
  • Description — a bulleted or paragraph summary of your responsibilities and achievements
Use action verbs and quantify results wherever possible. "Reduced page load time by 40%" is more compelling than "Improved website performance."

Editing and Deleting Entries

Each experience card in your dashboard has an Edit button (pencil icon) and a Delete button (trash icon). Deleting is permanent, so be sure before confirming.

Reordering Experiences

Experiences are displayed in reverse-chronological order by default (most recent first), based on the start date you enter. If you have two roles with the same start date, you can drag them into your preferred order using the grip handle on the left side of each card in the dashboard list.

The current position checkbox removes the end date and displays "Present" on your public resume. Only check it for roles you are currently in.

Education

The Education section works the same way as Experience. In the sidebar, click Education, then Add Education and fill in:

  • School name — university, college, bootcamp, or certification body
  • Degree — e.g., "Bachelor of Science" or "Associate of Arts"
  • Field of study — e.g., "Computer Science" or "Graphic Design"
  • Start and end dates — or check Currently attending
  • Description (optional) — relevant coursework, honors, GPA, or activities

Including Bootcamps and Self-Study

You are not limited to traditional degrees. Bootcamps, online courses, and professional development programs are entirely appropriate. Use the Degree field for the program type (e.g., "Certificate") and Field of Study for the subject.

Other Content Sections

Beyond Experience and Education, ResiPage also supports:

  • Skills — add skill names with optional proficiency levels (shown as progress bars or pills depending on the template)
  • Languages — list spoken languages with fluency levels
  • Certifications — professional certs with issuing organization and date
  • Portfolio — upload images and link to project URLs
  • References — name, title, company, and contact info for each reference
Fill in every section you have content for. Templates automatically hide empty sections, so there is no downside to adding everything — it will only show if there is data.
