Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

Introduction

ResiPage (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information when you use the ResiPage platform and website (the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, city, and state when you register.
  • Profile content — job title, professional summary, work experience, education, skills, portfolio items, languages, certifications, references, and profile photo.
  • Payment information — Free plan accounts require no payment information whatsoever. For Pro subscribers, all payment processing is handled entirely by our third-party payment provider, Square. We do not collect, see, or store your card number, bank details, or any other sensitive payment information on our servers. Square's handling of your payment data is governed by Square's Privacy Policy.
  • Communications — messages you send through the platform or to our support team.
  • Custom URL (ResiPath) — the unique identifier you choose for your public resume page.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent, and actions taken within the Service.
  • Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, screen size, and general device type.
  • IP address — used for approximate geolocation (country, region, city) for analytics purposes.
  • Resume view analytics — when your public ResiPage is visited, we record the timestamp, approximate location, and device type of the visitor.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookies section below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide the Service.
  • Display your public ResiPage to visitors who access your unique ResiPath URL.
  • Process Pro subscription payments and manage billing (Pro subscribers only — free plan users are never charged).
  • Send transactional emails — account confirmations, password resets, subscription receipts, and contact access notifications.
  • Provide resume view analytics on your dashboard.
  • Improve the Service — understand how features are used and identify areas for improvement.
  • Respond to your support requests and communications.
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and protect the safety and integrity of the platform.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising profiling or share it with advertising networks.

Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including our payment processor (Square — who handles all payment data directly and independently), file storage (UploadThing), and email delivery service. These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to perform services on our behalf.
  • Public ResiPage. The profile content you choose to publish on your ResiPage is visible to anyone with the link. See the “Your Public ResiPage” section below for details.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of ResiPage, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If ResiPage is acquired, merged, or its assets are sold, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Your Public ResiPage

When you publish your ResiPage, the profile information you choose to include — such as your name, job title, professional summary, experience, education, skills, and portfolio — becomes publicly accessible to anyone who visits your unique ResiPath URL (e.g., resipage.com/yourname).

Contact gating. Your email address and phone number are never displayed publicly by default. Visitors must submit a contact access request, which you review and approve or deny. Only after your approval does a visitor receive access to your contact details.

Page visibility. You can take your ResiPage offline at any time from your dashboard, which immediately removes it from public view. You can also opt out of the ResiPage public directory through your Account settings.

Search engine indexing. Published ResiPages may be indexed by search engines. Taking your page offline prevents future indexing, but previously cached pages may remain in search engine results for a period of time outside our control.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Account and profile data is retained while your account remains open.
  • After account deletion, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
  • Resume view analytics are retained for up to 12 months, with a cap of 500 entries per user.
  • For Pro subscribers: subscription status and billing history (not payment card data) may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations. All actual payment records are held by Square, not ResiPage. Free plan users have no billing records.
  • Backup copies may persist for a short period after deletion before being purged from our systems.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers.
  • Bcrypt password hashing — your password is never stored in plain text.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) for account login.
  • Secure, isolated database access with parameterized queries to prevent SQL injection.
  • CSRF protection on all authenticated actions.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of a security vulnerability or incident, please notify us immediately at support@resipage.com.

Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access and portability. You may view and download your profile information from your dashboard at any time.
  • Correction. You may update or correct your information at any time through your account settings.
  • Deletion. You may delete your account and all associated data from your Account settings. We will complete deletion within 30 days.
  • Page visibility. You may take your public ResiPage offline at any time, immediately removing it from public view.
  • Directory opt-out. You may opt out of the public ResiPage member directory through your Account → Privacy settings.
  • Communications. You may opt out of non-essential emails at any time. Transactional emails (receipts, security alerts) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

To exercise any of these rights or if you have questions about your data, contact us at support@resipage.com.

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser.

We use cookies for:

  • Session management — keeping you logged in to your account.
  • Security — protecting your session from forgery (CSRF tokens).
  • Preferences — remembering your settings and choices.
  • Analytics — understanding how the Service is used in aggregate.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may prevent certain features of the Service from working correctly — including staying logged in.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@resipage.com and we will delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
