PDF Export and Print Templates
How to export a polished, print-ready PDF from your ResiPage dashboard — choose a print template, adjust colors, and download.
The PDF page lets you generate a professional, print-ready PDF of your resume. It is completely independent from your web template — you can use a different layout, color scheme, and font size specifically for print.
Choosing a Print Template
ResiPage includes 10 print-optimised templates that match the 10 web templates in name and general aesthetic, but are built specifically for PDF output: clean A4/Letter proportions, no scroll animations, and typography scaled for reading on paper.
To choose a print template:
- Go to Dashboard → PDF.
- Click the Settings button (gear icon) in the toolbar to open the settings panel.
- In the Print Layout section, click Change Template. A thumbnail grid of all 10 print templates appears.
- Click any thumbnail to switch. The preview iframe updates immediately.
Customizing Colors and Typography
The Settings panel has a Style section with seven color pickers and two font-size sliders:
- Primary Color — accent color used for headings, borders, and highlights.
- Header Background — the background color of the resume header band (on templates that have one).
- Header Text — color of your name and title in the header.
- Left Column Background — background of the sidebar (on two-column templates).
- Right Column Background — background of the main content area.
- Body Text — the main text color throughout the resume.
- Page Background — the background of the full A4/Letter page.
The font-size sliders control the base body text size and independently, the left column text size and the right column text size — useful when one side has denser content.
Controlling Visible Sections
Under Visible Sections in the settings panel, you can toggle individual resume sections on or off for the PDF independently of your live page. For example, you might want to hide your References section from the public web page but include it in the PDF you send to employers.
Exporting the PDF
When the preview looks right, click the Export PDF button in the top-right of the toolbar. The PDF is generated server-side using headless Chrome, ensuring pixel-perfect output. Depending on the size of your resume, export takes 3–10 seconds. The file downloads directly to your device.
Preview Scaling
The preview iframe in the PDF page scales to fit your browser window, so it may look smaller or larger than the final A4 output. The actual exported PDF is always standard A4 / Letter size — the on-screen preview is for layout verification only, not an exact size match.
