Managing Contact Requests
How contact access gating works, how to approve or deny requests, and what happens when you approve someone.
ResiPage keeps your phone number and email address private by default — they are never shown in plain text to anonymous visitors on your public resume page. Instead, visitors see a Request Access prompt. You decide who gets to see your contact details.
How the Request Flow Works
- A visitor on your public page clicks Request Access beneath the phone or email row, or on the locked PDF download button.
- They fill in their name and email address in a short form. The submission is protected by spam detection.
- You receive an email notification, and a green badge appears on the Contacts link in your dashboard sidebar.
- Go to Dashboard → Contacts to review the request.
- Click Approve or Deny for each request.
- Approved visitors automatically receive an email with a unique personal link. Opening that link reveals your phone number, email, and unlocks the PDF download on your public page for them.
The Contacts Page
The Contacts page shows all access requests grouped by status:
- Pending — requests waiting for your decision. These are shown at the top and trigger the sidebar badge.
- Approved — requests you have granted. You can see the requester's name and email.
- Denied — requests you have declined.
You can change your decision at any time — approved contacts can be revoked, and denied requests can be approved later if you change your mind.
Viewing Your Own Page
When you visit your own public ResiPage while logged in to your dashboard, contact gating is automatically bypassed — you always see your own phone number and email in full so you can verify how they look. Logging out will show you the gated view that visitors see.
Disabling Contact Gating
Contact gating is always on — there is currently no way to make your phone number and email publicly visible without the request flow. This is intentional: it prevents automated scraping of your contact details and gives you full control over who can reach you directly.
If you would rather direct people to a specific channel (e.g., LinkedIn only), simply do not add a phone number or email to your profile. They will not appear on your page at all.
