Apply Kit

Use Apply Kit to copy any resume field with one click and generate an AI cover letter — so you can fill out job applications faster without retyping the same information.

Apply Kit is a Pro feature that makes filling out online job application forms dramatically faster. Instead of switching between your resume and the employer's form, Apply Kit displays every piece of your profile — name, contact info, every work entry, skill, certification, and more — on a single screen with a copy button next to each field. Tap once and paste.

Apply Kit is a Pro feature. Upgrade to Pro at Dashboard → Account to unlock it.

Opening Apply Kit

Go to Dashboard → Apply Kit (the clipboard icon in the sidebar). The page loads your full profile immediately — no extra steps required.

Copying Fields

Every field has a small copy button on the right side. Click it once and the value is copied to your clipboard. The button flashes green to confirm the copy. You can then switch straight to the employer's form and paste.

Fields available for one-click copy include:

  • Personal Info — full name, email, phone, city, state, zip, and your public ResiPage URL
  • Professional — job title / headline and bio summary
  • Skills — copy all skills as a comma-separated list, or copy each skill individually
  • Languages — each language with proficiency level
  • Certifications — name and description for each certification
  • Work Experience — position, company, dates, and description for each role
  • Education — degree, field of study, school, and dates for each record
Keep a second browser tab open with the employer's application form. Use Apply Kit in the first tab, then switch and paste. You'll fill multi-page application forms in a fraction of the usual time.

AI Cover Letter

The bottom section of Apply Kit lets you generate a personalised cover letter with Claude AI. Fill in two required fields and one optional field:

  • Job title (required) — the exact title of the role you're applying for
  • Company name (required) — the name of the employer
  • Notes (optional) — any specific points you want the letter to emphasise, such as a named hiring manager, a key project, or a particular skill

Click Generate Cover Letter. Claude reads your full work history, education, and skills from your profile and writes a 3–4 paragraph cover letter with a proper salutation (Dear Hiring Manager,) and a professional sign-off. The letter appears in an editable text area so you can tweak it before using it.

Once the letter is ready you can:

  • Copy — copies the full letter to your clipboard in one click
  • Download — saves a plain-text .txt file named after the company (e.g. cover-letter-acme-corp.txt)
AI features share a daily limit of 20 requests per day across all AI tools (Writing Assistant, Resume Import, and Apply Kit). The limit resets at midnight UTC. A cover letter counts as 1 request.

Keeping Your Data Up to Date

Apply Kit pulls directly from your live profile. If you update a job description, add a new skill, or change your phone number in the dashboard, Apply Kit reflects the change immediately the next time you open it — no refresh needed.

Tips for Getting the Best Cover Letter

  • Use the Notes field. A short note like "emphasise my leadership experience" or "mention the Python project at Acme" gives Claude the context it needs to write a letter that stands out rather than a generic one.
  • Edit before you send. AI-generated text is a strong first draft, not a final product. Read it through, tweak the tone, and make sure it sounds like you.
  • Generate a fresh letter per application. Because you supply the job title and company each time, every letter is tailored. Avoid reusing the same letter for different roles.
  • Keep your profile complete. The more work history, skills, and bio text you have in your profile, the more material Claude has to write a compelling, specific letter.
