AI Writing Assistant

ResiPage includes a built-in AI writing assistant powered by Claude (Anthropic). It helps you write professional descriptions and cover letters in seconds — tailored to your actual role, company, and timeline.

Where to Find the Wand

Look for the Draft with AI button (wand icon ✦) next to any Description field:

• Experience — opens from Dashboard → Experience. Click Add Experience or edit an existing entry to see the wand next to the Description field.
• Education — opens from Dashboard → Education. Same pattern — the wand appears next to Description when adding or editing a record.
• Prospects (cover letters) — in the Prospects compose form, the wand drafts a full cover letter body based on the recipient, company, and your profile.

How It Works

When you click Draft with AI, ResiPage sends your job title, company name, dates, and profile data to Claude. Within a few seconds it fills the description field with a professional draft you can edit freely before saving.

Experience descriptions

Claude generates 2–4 bullet points using strong action verbs, focused on impact and achievements. Fill in Position and Company first — the button is disabled until those are complete. Adding a start date and location makes the draft even more specific.

Education descriptions

Claude writes 1–3 sentences covering relevant coursework, honors, or extracurricular activities based on your degree and field of study. Fill in School and Degree before clicking the wand.

Prospect cover letters

In the Prospects compose form, the AI drafts a full 3–4 paragraph cover letter body. It uses your name, title, work history, and education from your profile, combined with the recipient's name, company, and the role/subject line you've typed. The salutation (Dear [Name],) and sign-off (Best regards, [Your Name]) are added automatically to the email — don't write them in the cover letter text.

When AI Is Unavailable

If the AI service is temporarily unavailable (for example, during high demand or a billing pause), the wand button will appear greyed out with the tooltip “AI unavailable at the moment.” Your form still works normally — you can type your description manually. Check back later and the button will re-enable automatically.

Privacy

Only the minimum information needed to generate the draft is sent to the AI: your job title, company name, dates, and the profile data you've already added to ResiPage. No draft is stored — if you don't save the form, nothing is persisted. Your data is processed according to Anthropic's privacy policy.
